Your first visit to a dental office can be an anxious experience, but at Martin Dental, we are committed to making your dental visit an experience you will look forward to!

If you are a new patient, you can expect the following from your first appointment…

Medical History and Background: It’s very important for us to get a complete medical and dental history. This will help us monitor your health as well as to follow-up on any ongoing concerns.

Dental X-Rays: Dental X-Rays are prescribed by Dr. Martin and Dr. Viall at a frequency based upon your risk factors. Often times, x-rays utilized to diagnose cavities are indicated annually. If you have had dental x-rays in the past 6 months, please have them emailed from your previous office prior to your first appointment.

Oral Exam and Consultation: Dr. Martin or Dr. Viall will perform a comprehensive oral exam to check the health of your teeth and gums. He will also check for early signs of tooth decay or cavities. An oral cancer screen is always a part of your bi-annual checkup, which is why it is so important to maintain that check-up frequency.

We are here to make sure you understand your treatment plans every step of the way. We have TVs in all of our treatment rooms to show you intraoral pictures of your mouth, view x-rays and discuss comprehensive treatment planning.

At Martin Dental, our commitment is to care for your oral health as well as to pamper you! We have heated massage dental chairs, provide all our patients with warm neck wraps and have fruit-infused water and a coffee bar.
