What are Botox® treatments?

Botox® Cosmetic is the only approved treatment to temporarily improve the appearance of both moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines in adults. Botox® prevents the muscle from contracting for about three to four months. The desired result is essentially a more youthful look as a result of the skin not contracting as a result of the muscle movement.

The purpose of both Botox®  is to reduce to look of facial wrinkles or oral facial pain.

Why have your Botox® treatments at the dentist?

Patients that have received Botox®  treatments elsewhere report that Dr. Martin's injections are much less painful. It makes sense. Dentists give many more injections each year than most other health professionals with training in doing Botox® treatments. Dr. Martin gives injections in the oral cavity and facial areas on a daily basis, and he has developed techniques to make them much more comfortable.

Your initial consultation with Dr. Martin for Botox® treatments is generally an hour long appointment, but after that initial appointment, you can pair your recall Botox® appointments with your routine dental cleanings. The injections will then take about 20 minutes per appointment.
